Jingle Bell Rock: Christmas Playlist

It’s the most wonderful time of the yeeaaaar. *Sprinkles holiday cheer all in yo face* I can’t speak for every holiday that comes around this season, but nothing puts me in the mood for Christmas like music! Where I’m from, it’s really not December until you hear “Silent Night” by The Temptations, and Christmas day isn’t complete without Donny Hathaway’s “This Christmas”.

Christmas Playlist--The Palmetto Peaches

In natural Palmetto Peaches fashion, we thought it would be necessary to put together some jams to help you “deck the halls”. I can’t explain how hard it was to not use most of the songs from Mariah Carey’s Christmas album, but somehow I made it happen. Listen to the Christmas playlist below! (Don’t forget to scroll down, so you can hear all the tunes.)

Jingle Bell Rock: Christmas Playlist

  1. This Christmas – Donny Hathaway
  2. What Christmas Means to Me – Fantasia
  3. Someday at Christmas – Stevie Wonder (Although Stevie’s version featuring Andra Day in the Apple commercial is amazing. Watch it here.)
  4. All I Want for Christmas is You – Mariah Carey
  5. Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas – Sam Smith (Note: I was going to pick Judy Garland’s version from Meet Me in St. Louis, but it makes me cry. Thank you, The Family Stone.)
  6. Let it Snow – Boyz II Men featuring Brian McKnight
  7. The Christmas Song – Judy Garland
  8. O Holy Night – Mariah Carey
  9. 8 Days of Christmas – Destiny’s Child
  10. Christmas in Hollis – RUN D.M.C
  11. Jingle Bell Rock – Daryl Hall & John Oates
  12. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing/Gloria – Mariah Carey
