Pinterest Meditation Mood Board

Pinterest Meditation Mood Board - palmsinatl.com

mood board: an arrangement of images, materials, pieces of text, etc., intended to evoke or project a particular style or concept.

When I decided to create a mood board on Pinterest, I really thought I was going to pin a bunch of pictures to show how I was feeling. After a little research, I realized I was wrong. Everything I searched had color themes, texture and most importantly–a mission to create something. Clearly, I could’ve still broken the “rules” because I do what I want haha, but I decided to follow through…kinda.

It was easy, but still hard to do Wordless Wednesday this week. I was tired, but had so many emotions and feelings to talk about. Between new and exciting freelance opportunities and spending the weekend in Florida with my best friends (and Beyoncé)–my thoughts were on fleek.

Being overwhelmed has me craving a beautiful meditation space. So why not create a mood board to help visualize it into existence?

What’s on my board

Green Chakra Stones

Green represents the heart chakra (Anahata). Opening the heart chakra brings forgiveness, acceptance and love. I know I’m not the only one who can use a little more of all 3 of those things right now.

Green Juice

Nothing says zen like a morning (or afternoon) green juice.

Green Space

Even though my allergies make me hate nature these days, I’d love to meditate outdoors. Some days I step outside and think, “I can’t believe I’m a part of this.” Waking up to a new day is one thing, but basking in the morning sunlight, or listening to the rain takes gratitude to another level.

Green Accessories

I rarely leave the house without a headband. Yes, even ones with flowers. Might as well get in meditation formation with a green headwrap, flowy dress and jewelry.

Why I chose the color green

Other than green being my favorite color, it relaxes me. I’ll leave this part to the experts. Jennifer Bourn (BournCreative.com) broke it down like this:

The color green has healing power and is understood to be the most restful and relaxing color for the human eye to view. Green can help enhance vision, stability and endurance. Green takes up more space in the spectrum visible to the human eye and it is the dominant color in the natural. It is a natural choice in interior design as an ideal background or backdrop because we as humans are so used to seeing it everywhere.

Pinterest is not cooperating with me right now, so if my mood board isn’t visible in this post please visit this link to check it out: Ace’s Meditation Mood Board.

Have you ever created a mood board? I’d love to see them, and hear your tips for making one.
