Something strange happened a few months ago while I was watching Toy Story (the first one). Do you remember the scene where Buzz Lightyear decides to give this flying thing one last chance to prove he’s not just a toy? He sees the window, gets all geared up and leaps for the gawds. Need me to refresh your memory? Here it is.
The disappointment in his face was funny for about 2 seconds. That’s how long it took me to realize I’ve been Buzz Lightyear before: high on life only to immediately crash into reality. It only took a few more seconds for me to realize I was Buzz in that embarrassing situation multiple times, and you probably were too.
Like….
when the waitress asks for your ID at happy hour, and you realize yours is at home.
when the last bag of kettle corn is finished, and it’s burnt.
when it’s pay day, but the money didn’t deposit in time to avoid the overdraft fees from yesterday.
when you text bae and get an immediate response, but it’s not bae.
when someone gives you Starbucks coffee as a gift, and it’s decaf.
when the emergency alert goes off during the How to Get Away with Murder plot twist.
when you’re reunited with your favorite jeans, and they’re too small.
when you think a celebrity starts to follow you on Twitter, but it’s just a parody account.
when Pretty Little Liars gets renewed for another season.
when you’re invited out for drinks, but already reached your calorie intake for the day.
The struggle is too real. Do you remember this life changing moment in Toy Story? When have you felt like Buzz Lightyear?
Funny! That gif could definitely be used as a reaction to all of the above and more! Thanks for the laugh!

I’ve discovered like 10 new things the gif can be reactions to already, haha, thank you for reading!
Haha! I did always find that moment of Toy Story bittersweet.
Glad I’m not the only one, but I also cried during Toy Story 3 sooooo, yeah.
Haha, this is hilarious! So relatable!
Haha, the list could’ve gone on forever. Thank you for reading!
Toy Story is actually really mature if you think about it. The storytelling is really honest and of course it’s funny toys talking but they wouldn’t be making yet another one if it didn’t resonate with so many people. I shed quite a few unexpected tears at the end of Toy Story 3 when Andy drives off to college and leaves his toys behind. SO.MANY.FEELINGS. Haha.

Ahhh, get out of my head! Haha. It’s like I basically grew up with Andy. I was a junior in college when Toy Story 3 came out. Too real to handle.
