Piggybacking off of Ace’s post, I decided to challenge you all to 7 days of gratitude journaling. Journaling has a positive impact on physical well-being, including reducing stress and increasing emotional intelligence, memory and comprehension. It can be whatever you want it to be. Draw a picture, cut words out of magazine, do whatever creative thing you like!
Grab your favorite journal or the handy printable I created below and get journaling. If you use any of these prompts, snap a picture and tag us (@palmsinatl).
7 Days of Gratitude: A Journaling Challenge
-
What inspirational words of wisdom are you most grateful for receiving?
Jot down lyrics, advice, or a favorite quote that has helped you.
-
List three things that made you smile this week.
No matter how big or small.
-
What was the best part of your day?
Even if it’s getting all green lights on your way home from work – write it down!
-
Who have you enjoyed being around recently, and why?
List 5 people who made your day or week a little happier, whether they were a stranger or best friend.
-
List 10 everyday essentials you’re grateful for.
Most of us have routines we do every single day no matter what we’ve got planned. In those day-to-day moments, there are things we rely on to get us through each day that we typically don’t even notice. What are the things you use everyday and forget that there are others that aren’t as lucky to have?
-
What challenge are you grateful you’ve overcome?
You can also write about the person who helped you over come the challenge.
-
What skills or strengths or are you grateful to have?
It’s easy to be your own critic, but take a moment to reflect on some of your amazing skills and traits.
