It’s our 6 month blogiversary!
Six months ago on an “unlucky” Friday, we hit go on www.palmsinatl.com!! It’s been a fun adventure and quite a learning experience. Blogging seemed like a great creative outlet and it certainly is. However, it’s also a lot of work. There’s more to it than just clicking publish on a post. We sit down every month and plan out what we hope will be interesting blog posts for you guys and create accompanying graphics. Then we promote the posts and make sure to interact with our readers on social media. This is in-between working day jobs and trying to have a social life (even if the social life is a Netflix binge and wine).
Even with all of that work – we’re having so much fun! We love getting your comments and it makes us feel great to know that you are truly connecting with us. Some of the posts we think are just silly end up being very popular and widely shared. Ace’s post on growing up in Charleston went viral and brought in a crazy amount of traffic. Donni was surprised at all of the emails and thoughtful messages she received after gathering her thoughts on the shooting in Charleston.
We’re only 51 posts in to this venture! We have so many undocumented stories, ideas for videos and goals for this blog.We have a lot to figure out, but we’re happy you’re on the journey with us! Stay tuned for more from your Palmetto Peaches!

Congrats on your 6 month blogiversary! Glad you have so much great experiences thus far. I have only been blogging for 1 month, but I know how much work it takes… let’s not talk about keeping up with life outside of the blogosphere. I am in the Atlanta area as well!
